Human remains found along I-65

SCOTTSBURG, Ind. (AP) — Indiana State Police are investigating human remains that were found along Interstate 65 in southern Indiana.

Trooper Shannon Burton says state police were called to the scene on the southbound lanes of I-65 near Scottsburg about 7 p.m. Thursday after Scott County sheriff's deputies found the remains on and near the highway.

Deputies were investigating an abandoned vehicle when they found the remains.

The southbound lanes of I-65 were closed for about four hours during the investigation.

Police say evidence indicates the remains may belong to someone was struck on the highway late Wednesday night.

I drove past it shortly before the police officer stopped. It looked like a deer had been gutted along the road, pretty much like any other road in Indiana...dead deer everywhere...

Ok blame the police for this horrid scene. They can npt be everywhere. If you want a cop to be everywhere you are then become one. Stop complaining about them pulling people for speeding. Slow down and do th espeed limit, not 10 mph over. You did the crime so do the time and stop whinning about it.

where is a cop when you need one oh he is writing tickets for speeding or for a light out on your plate while homes are getting broke into but they cant make any money that way they need to take it from people that work every day to try to make ends meet so sad a child has to go with out so we can pay a ticket going 10 miles over the limit
