PITTSBURGH (AP) — A man who claims to be related to missing Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa has been sentenced to nearly 10 years in prison for robbing a bank in western Pennsylvania.

A federal judge on Wednesday also ordered 48-year-old William James Hoffa Jr. of Uniontown to repay $1,490 to Parkvale Savings Bank's Uniontown branch, which was robbed on Christmas Eve.

Hoffa pleaded guilty in June to robbing the bank and planning to rob another Parkvale bank in nearby Chalk Hill in January.

He was arrested because his planned getaway driver was a government informant. The FBI was waiting for Hoffa when he showed up to rob the Chalk Hill bank, about 45 miles south of Pittsburgh.
