HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — A judge has sentenced an Ohio teenager convicted in the torture beating of a mentally disabled woman to 44 years in prison.

A judge sentenced 17-year-old Cheyenne Blanton on Friday in Butler County Common Pleas Court in Hamilton.

Blanton and 17-year-old Joseph Nagle were accused of binding, beating and holding 19-year-old Ashley Clark for several hours at Clark's home in February. Prosecutors said the teens shaved Clark's head, placed her in a cold shower and made her walk in the snow barefoot.

Blanton and Nagle each pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, complicity to aggravated robbery, felonious assault, kidnapping and vandalism.

Nagle's sentencing is set for Oct. 14. He also could receive up to 59 years in prison.

There is nothing really wrong with 1017's comments. 44 years is a lot of time to think about it. He'll probably be around 40 when he gets out. He will miss the best years of his life. I think 1017 poses a good question about the teens anger; no need to attack them. Just questioning what's wrong.

to 10:17pm, these kids are not angry, we've just always let them get away with anything & everything nowadays with the pretext of "kids will be kids" These kids are growing up with utter disregard for human life. I say if they want to act like spoiled adults, give them the max. in prision, Maybe then they will learn a lesson.

RE: AM MH---Where were the parents of the teens involved? My question is "why are teens so angry" these days?

Why are teenagers becoming so evil and cruel? Where was the guardian of the mentally disabled person?
