CHASSELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — An Upper Peninsula businessman has died after his parasail struck a tugboat along Houghton County's Portage Canal.

Jeff Moyle of Chassell Township died Sunday afternoon after a strong gust of wind caused him to lose control of the parasail. He fell 50 feet and struck the parked tugboat.

WLUC-TV in Marquette reports Moyle was attempting to parasail from the shore near a camp. The Mining Gazette of Houghton reports the 30-year-old was the president of Moyle Construction in Houghton, which has 150 employees.
