PORT HURON, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a dog has bitten five third-grade students at a Port Huron elementary school playground.

The Times Herald reports four of the children were treated at Port Huron Hospital for minor injuries after being bitten Monday afternoon, while a fifth child wasn't taken to a hospital for treatment.

Howard D. Crull Elementary School Principal Debra Barr said the children were bitten as third-graders were heading inside from recess.

Police say the dog was captured later in the day by an animal control officer and didn't have tags.
