FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — The bones of a suburban Chicago man missing since 1995 have been found in a mass grave in Fort Myers, Florida.

The bones were among skeletons belonging to eight people first discovered in March 2007. Authorities say one skeleton matches the DNA of John James Tihay, who lived near Aurora. He was 25 when he disappeared.

The eight deaths have been ruled homicides. Authorities have not said how the victims died, citing the ongoing investigation.

Two other remains were identified through DNA in November as John Blevins and Erik Kohler, who both disappeared in 1995.

Authorities have said the remaining skeletons were white men between the ages of 18 and 49 and died as far back as 1980.
