MONROE, Mich. (AP) — Police are investigating a complaint that a Monroe Lutheran school teacher conducted a strip search of students while looking for stolen money.

Monroe County Prosecutor William Paul Nichols says he expects police reports about the incident at Trinity Lutheran School within a day or two.

Trinity Lutheran Church Senior Pastor Stanley AuBuchon says the complaint alleges some students were forced last Wednesday to partially disrobe at the school, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

AuBuchon says the school also is looking into what happened, exactly how much money was taken and when it was taken. He expects results by the end of the week.

AuBuchon would not comment on whether any school staff are being disciplined in the matter.
