FOX LAKE, Ill. (AP) — A 25-year-old suburban Chicago man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for using the social-networking Web site Facebook to lure teenagers into having sex with him.

Michael Macalindong of Fox Lake was sentenced Tuesday after he pleaded guilty in June to eight child pornography-related charges.

Federal prosecutors say Macalindong lured minors into having sex. They say he then told the teens he'd show nude photographs and videos he took of them to their family and friends if the sexual encounters didn't continue.

One of the victims contacted authorities. Macalindong was arrested in January 2007 during what was to be a meeting between him and a teenager in a Wilmette parking lot.
