HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a security guard has been arrested after impersonating a police officer in Oakland County.

WHMI-FM reports the 22-year-old Flint man was arrested by the Oakland County sheriff's department on Saturday night. Officials say he made traffic stops in a vehicle with an illegal red flashing light.

Authorities say the guard, who provided security for a Highland Township subdivision, was wearing a uniform and complete gun belt.

He has been released pending a continuing investigation.
