AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio woman was apparently shot and killed in her home while on the phone with a sheriff's dispatcher.

Investigators believe 41-year-old Tracy Schley died early Tuesday morning as she made a 911 call from her home in the Akron suburb of Coventry Township. In a recording of the call, Schley is heard saying someone just broke into her house. The dispatcher asks "Who is it?" A scream follows, then the sound of a gunshot.

Summit County deputies found Schley's body at the home and 53-year-old Edwin Posey with a head wound. Deputies are trying to determine whether Posey shot himself, and whether he and Schley knew each other. Posey was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Schley's 8-year-old son was at home when then shootings happened.
