Update: Suspect arrested in Noble County stabbing

A man wanted in connection with a Noble County stabbing turned himself into police Sunday night, according to the sheriff’s department.

The stabbing was reported about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the far southeastern part of the county, when a woman was attacked near Laotto, Ind., by a man she knew.

She was taken to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, where she remained for treatment, according to Noble County dispatch. The woman, who has not been identified, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Later Sunday, the man walked into the Avilla Police Department and surrendered to authorities. His name has not been released pending formal charges.
