Biden set to speak at Chicago Global Cities Forum

CHICAGO (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the Chicago Global Cities Forum.

The forum takes place Monday at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The goal of the event is to address issues like economic recovery and urban planning. For instance, one session is on short-term stimulus strategies that can help local economies.

Leaders from nearly 30 cities worldwide are expected to attend. The cities include Paris, Moscow and Beijing.

Other expected speakers are Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin.
