FRANKFORT, Ind. (AP) — A 5-month-old girl injured in a two-car crash on Interstate 65 has died.

The crash Sunday evening near Frankfort injured four other people, including the girl's mother and two children in the other car.

Police say a car driven by 20-year-old Candis Cunningham was headed southbound on I-65 about 40 miles northwest of Indianapolis when it crossed the median and hit a car driven by 27-year-old Breanne Kemp.

Cunningham and her daughter, Rhilee Courtney, both suffered head injuries. The infant died after being taken to an Indianapolis hospital. Cunningham is in critical condition.

Kemp and her daughters, ages 8 and 6, were hospitalized for treatment of broken bones and bruises.

Indiana State Police say the investigation remains under investigation.
