MONROE, Mich. (AP) — The mother of a missing 5-year-old Monroe girl walked off a CNN Headline News program after being questioned by the host.

Jennifer Buchanan was asked questions Monday night on several fronts, including her relationship with men police have identified as "persons of interest" in the abduction of her daughter.

Nevaeh (nuh-VAY'-uh) Buchanan disappeared from her apartment complex May 24. Police believe a body found last week several miles away is Nevaeh's.

Buchanan said she has made "a lot of bad choices" when asked about befriending George Kennedy. Kennedy and his friend Roy Smith have been convicted of sex crimes and are imprisoned on parole violations.

Host Nancy Grace replied most mothers haven't "knowingly exposed their little girl" to sex offenders. Buchanan and a friend exited during a commercial break.
