WOODBURN, Ind. (AP) — Police say a 23-year-old man has died after the pickup truck he was driving slammed into a house near Fort Wayne and burst into flames.

The Allen County Sheriff's Department says Daniel Roehling died at the scene from injuries he suffered in the crash early Wednesday in Woodburn, about 10 miles east of Fort Wayne.

Sgt. Steve Stone says Roehling was driving his pickup at a high rate of speed when it left the road, hit the house and caught on fire. Stone says the car did not go all the way into the house.

A woman and child inside the home at the time of the crash were not hurt.
