CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago's Shedd Aquarium says it's timing a week of free admission with the start of Chicago Public School students' summer vacations.

The Aquarium is offering free admission to its original galleries from Sunday through Friday (June 14-19).

Visitors will see a newly renovated facility that reopened a few weeks ago after nine months of work. New exhibits include the Polar Play Zone and the Grainger Beluga Encounter Habitat.

Pacific white-sided dolphins and other animals that were sent to locations around the country during the $50 million renovation will also be on view.

The 170,000-square-foot Oceanarium was opened in April 1991.
