ROANOKE, Ill. (AP) — A central Illinois man was killed and three people were injured after a car drove into a crowd at a fireworks show.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says 60-year-old Steven Hodel of Roanoke died Friday after attending the village's fireworks show.

Two of the injured were transported to an area hospital. Ingersoll says Hodel's wife, Joyce, was one of those injured.

She was reported in fair condition.

The Woodford County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
