Police say man dies in Meijer parking lot crash

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A motorist has died after his minivan crashed into a tractor-trailer parked behind a Meijer store on Lansing's south side.

Witnesses say the van sped across the parking lot before hitting the trailer head-on about 2 p.m. Monday. The wreckage of the minivan was trapped underneath the trailer.

Police Lt. Noel Garcia says the minivan was seen driving erratically through the parking lot just before the crash.

Police have not identified the driver.
