COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (AP) — A Columbia City man has been charged with murder following the disappearance of his former wife.

Authorities on Saturday searched for a fourth day for 49-year-old Debra Houser of Columbia City. A probable-cause affidavit filed Friday in Whitley Circuit Court indicated there's evidence she's dead.

Forty-three-year-old Rodney L. Houser was being held in the Whitley County Jail. No bond has been set. The sheriff's department says Saturday it didn't know whether he had a lawyer.

Investigators say they got a tip Wednesday from an informant who said he was asked to dispose of a body. Authorities say they found bloodstains in Debra Houser's abandoned Dodge Durango and blood-soaked clothing in a trash bin.

The search was expected to resume Sunday.
