PORT HURON, Mich. (AP) — A Port Huron woman is trying to spread the Christmas spirit with free trees for those in need.

Marty Juziuk tells the Times Herald the holiday is a big event in her family. She was born a few days before the holiday and she has been a designer for the Port Huron Festival of Trees for nearly two decades.

Now, she says, she wanted to help others enjoy the season as well.

She picks up Christmas trees at garage sales as well as from donations. Juziuk then finds people who need Christmas trees using the Internet.

Her home and shed quickly are filling up with Christmas trees of all sizes and types. Juziuk says she hopes to move 50 trees by Dec. 25.
