48-year-old John Dahlquist will serve one year and one day in prison, and one year of supervised release.
Dahlquist admitted to telling a Lynchburg area woman that he was a member of the Secret Service. According to prosecutors, Dahlquist then asked the victim to sign ownership of her home to him. Dahlquist apparently did this under the pretense that he could protect her home from creditors in his capacity as a Secret Service employee.
Dahlquist previously pleaded guilty to one count of impersonating an officer or employee of the United States and in that pretended character demanding a thing of value.
