Some schools to close early because of the heat

Schools in Grayson and Pulaski counties will close early today

ROANOKE, Va.—

Some students in Southwest Virginia will get an early start to the holiday weekend, thanks to the heat.

Schools in Grayson County will close at 1:00 Friday. Schools in Pulaski County will close two hours early.

The temperature in those areas is expected to top out around 90 degrees Friday afternoon.
