NYPD spokesman Paul Browne says they include a man who had struggled with an officer at the shooting scene on Monday. They also include two people who were initially believed to be witnesses, plus a suspected getaway driver.
Officer Peter Figoski was shot in the face early Monday in a Brooklyn apartment. Suspected gunman Lamont Pride was arrested shortly afterward on murder charges.
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says Figoski's partner, Glenn Estrada, was struggling with one suspect in front of the building when he heard the shot and saw the 27-year-old Pride run away. Police say that suspect took off while Estrada chased Pride for blocks and captured him.
There was no immediate information on whether the suspects had lawyers or when they would be arraigned.
