SOUTH BEND — A 51-year-old South Bend man who was critically injured last week outside the Transpo station died early Thursday morning.
Victor Richmond died from a head injury he received outside the station Oct. 22.
Richmond was apparently involved in a fight with an acquaintance at the station on South Street.
No arrests had been made as of Thursday, but police were still conducting interviews.
Police have a name of the suspect who got into the fight with Richmond but did not say whether that man inflicted the head injury.
An off-duty South Bend officer working security at the Transpo station reportedly saw the two men punching each other in the bus line and was able to break them up.
The officer responded to another report of a fight later that night and found Richmond on the ground.
