Penn High School took home first place at the Indiana Academic Spell Bowl State Finals.
The all-star spellers came in first in the Class 1 category in addition to winning overall with 90/90. This is Penn High School’s 12th state championship.
Another local school won at this year’s competition. John Glenn won in the Class 3, beating six other teams for the title.
The Academic Super Bowl finals were held on the Purdue University campus today in the Loeb Playhouse.
