STILESVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say a California man has been fatally struck by a vehicle along a central Indiana highway while he was walking across the country as part of an anti-abortion group.

The Indianapolis Star reports ( http://indy.st/O1IFNA ) that 20-year-old Andrew Moore was struck and killed early Friday morning on U.S. 40 about 28 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

Moore was a member of a protest group that had begun walking May 19 in San Francisco.

This was the second time members of the same group have been injured during this year's walk. On May 31, two women were injured when a van used to transport members who walk in shifts was struck by another vehicle.

The driver in Friday's accident was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries.
