SOUTH BEND -- A computer gaming system, money and credit cards were taken during an armed home invasion about 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of N. Brookfield St., according to city police.
A 20-year-old South Bend man said he was visiting a friend at the address when he heard a knock and answered the front door, according a police report. An unknown man holding a silver handgun pushed his way into the house and demanded money, according to the report.
The intruder pointed the handgun at both the man and the female resident of the house, demanding the woman's purse, police said. The man fled with a Sony gaming system, cash from both victims and credit card.
The intruder was described as a black male, about 5 foot-10 inches tall, clean shaven, wearing a tight gray T-shirt, dark jeans and dark high-top shoes, according to police.
