Staci Lugar Brettin has been told more than once that she's a bit of a spark.

The winner of this year's Athena Award, presented by the Chamber of
Commerce of St. Joseph County is indeed a spark for many women in the
business world.

According to the Chamber, it is given to an individual who has
attained and embodies the highest level of professional excellence in
his/her career, has devoted time and energy to improve the quality of
life for others in the community and assists women in realizing their
leadership potential.
Whether it's playing a major role along with Martha Smith in getting
the SPARK program at Saint Mary's College up and running, putting on
programs such as "The Entrepreneurial Diva," teaching students or
