Marshall County police have released the name of a 46-year-old Culver woman killed in a single-car crash near Plymouth.
This happened just before 1 p.m. Saturday at S.R. 17 just west of the intersection of Quince Road.
State police say the driver of a 1992 Honda, 44-year-old Ralph Ward II of Culver, was eastbound on S.R. 17 when he lost control on the slick, snow-covered road.
He slid off the north side of the road and struck a utility pole, say police.
Ralph and his mother in the front seat, 70-year-old Caroline Ward of Culver, received minor injuries. They were treated and released from St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth.
Ralph's sister in the rear seat, 46-year-old Linda Ward of Culver, suffered severe head injuries and was killed in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Ralph and Caroline were wearing seatbelts, according to the Marshall County coroner. Linda was not.
