ST. JOSEPH COUNTY – St. Joseph County police believe a suspect in a bank robbery earlier this month may be responsible for several other crimes across the region.
Police say he may be responsible for at least three bank robberies in the last month. The first was on State Road 2 west of South Bend on January 9.
The second was at a bank in Lansing, Illinois and the third in Munster, Indiana on January 12th. Police believe he is also responsible for several purse snatchings and fraud cases.
Witnesses describe him as a black man in his 40's. He is about 6 foot tall with a medium build. They say he has acne scars on his face. Anyone with information should contact police.
