ELKHART – A BBC journalist made a special trip from England to Elkhart to talk about his work with students at the Career Center.
Richard Greenaway is from Bristol, England and got to know people in Bristol, Indiana a few years ago. He says he fell in love with the area and now comes here about once a year to teach the students in the Audio-Visual class.
“I love this part of the world,” said Greenaway. “I can't always come over with my family, so my wife gives me a massive shopping list of Teddy Grahams and unusual American foods that I bring back. It's also a chance to catch up with friends in this area and give back to a community which we have a strong connection to.”
Greenaway teaches the students multiple lessons when he's here, including creative writing, headline writing, news values and news appreciation.
