Emmanuel Church is fighting for its survival with a professional wrestling bout July 28 in its parking lot. The church will host an evening of eye-gouging and body-slamming headlined by the scions of two of the great wrestling names of the '60s and '70s: Tim Replogle, who wrestles as Dick the Bruiser Jr., and Jim Morris, a child of the famous Bobo Brazil who wrestles under the stage name of Bobo Brazil Jr. Pictured here: Brazil talks to wrestling fan Jeffrey Walters while signing autographs at Bud's Market. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A small Indianapolis church has faith that two aging professional wrestlers will help it get off the financial ropes.

The century-old Emmanuel Church has seen its congregation dwindle to fewer than three dozen members and needs a new roof and electrical and masonry work.

The Indianapolis Star reports (http://indy.st/MEsvhc ) the church will host a professional wrestling match Friday to raise funds for the work and to expand the church's mission.

Church board of trustees chairwoman Dawn Robertson says bake sales don't bring in enough and churches have to be creative when fundraising.

The match in the church parking lot will pit 50-year-old Tim Replogle, who wrestles as Dick the Bruiser Jr., against 59-year-old Jim Morris. His stage name is Bobo Brazil Jr.

Robertson hopes the event brings in $10,000.
