SOUTH BEND – With the weather turning colder, it's time to break out those winter jackets.
That's why the "Coats for Kids" program sponsored by Ziker Cleaners and WSBT is so important.
More than 2,000 coats were given away Saturday at Adams High School.
"It's more about supplying something for a need for someone who can't do that for themselves," said Jennifer Probst of Ziker Cleaners. "Really, just being part of a community that supports everybody."
More than 400 coats are being given to Goshen, Mishawaka and Elkhart schools to give to students there who may need one this winter.
