NOTRE DAME – The University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College and Holy Cross College have kicked off a campaign to feed the hungry.
It is called Holy Cross Harvest Food Drive.
Each campus has a different approach to this harvest.
Holy Cross College's drive kicked off Friday. They are focusing on collecting money donations to benefit St. Vincent de Paul through People Gotta Eat.
Every person on campus, including students, staff and administrators are challenged to participate.
“St. Vincent de Paul really helps out the community, and we have really been blessed by the community,” said Student Program Coordinator Cristina Gonzalez. “We see ourselves as part of it. A lot of our student body is from the community, so anything we can to do to help, especially with St. Vincent de Paul would be great.”
Saint Mary's College and Notre Dame are focusing their efforts on the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
