SOUTH BEND – A South Bend man has received a 30-year prison sentence for his role in the carjacking of Holy Cross college students.
20-year-old Hakeen Hogan pleaded guilty to robbery and confinement in the 2009 incident.
The prosecutor had to drop charges against Hogan at one point because his co-defendants refused to testify, and the victims couldn't identify him.
Four others, including Hogan's brother, have also been convicted in the case.
Hogan received a 46-year sentence, but the judge suspended some of that time.
