BRISTOL-- Tyrice Halliburton, 29,  is accused of killing Sheena Kiska in March 2008.  Halliburton lived next door to Kiska at a Bristol apartment complex.  An accused killer officially charged is the big story on a Facebook page dedicated to strengthening laws in the memory of a Bristol Mother of two.

On March 18, 2008, Sheena Kiska was found dead in her home at the River Shores Apartment complex now called Golfview Manor.  Now almost three years after the attack, court documents outline the case against Tyrice Halliburton.

First, investigators noticed a number of inconsistencies with Halliburton's story. The 29-year-old first denied knowing anything about her attack.

According to the documents, he changed his story and told officers vivid details about Kiska's murder as he watched through a "partially open doorway."

Officers then noticed cuts on Halliburton's palm. When questioned about those cuts, Halliburton told officers a cat scratched him. He told someone else he received those cuts at work. Sheena's home was burglarized one month before her death. A DVD player was among the items stolen. Court documents revealed that DVD player was found in Halliburton's car on March 28.

Halliburton was found guilty and sentenced for Receiving Stolen Property. Officers say he's been in jail, ever since.

While in jail, the document described how Halliburton told his cellmate that Kiska walked up on him when he was in her apartment trying to steal items. Then, a fight occurred between Halliburton and Kiska, before the woman was killed.

Because of the attack, lawmakers tried to create a law to make it easier for tenants to break their lease if they were a victim to certain crimes. The measure died in the Senate last session.

State Representative Craig Fry has already reintroduced the measure this session.

Deborah Kiska, called WSBT News and told a reporter she was "stunned by the new developments."
