ST. JOSEPH COUNTY -- More than 1,200 people were without power Tuesday morning following a crash in St. Joseph County.

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Gumwood and Adams.

Police say a driver crashed into a pole near the intersection, which pulled down several power lines.

Shortly after the crash, AEP reported about 1,250 customers without power.

Police say two people were injured in the crash -- but officers on-scene say their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

There's no word on what caused the crash.

Police expect Adams Road in the area of the crash to be closed until at least 7 a.m. Tuesday as crews clear the scene.
