ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. -- Divers are searching a St. Joseph County lake Thursday morning after a 10-year-old girl disappeared in the water Wednesday evening.
Police say an Illinois family was on a boat around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, pulling children on a tube behind their boat on Corey Lake. According to police, the boat took a sharp turn and one of the children who was on the boat fell. While family was attending to the fallen child on the boat, the boat turned and ran over the tube and three children. One of the children did not surface.
A rescue team attempted to find the girl Wednesday night but the search was called off until Thursday morning.
