Hospital officials say a Dowagiac man is in good condition after his tractor rolled over Friday night, pinning him, and then caught on fire.
This happened in the 57000 block of M-62 in Lagrange Township around 8:30. Fredrick Kirsch, 71, was tilling land on an incline when it rolled. Kirsch was trapped as the tractor caught on fire, but he was still able to call for help.
Kirsch was extricated, say Cass County police, and airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. He was then transferred to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo where as of 7 p.m. Saturday officials say he is in good condition.
Alcohol was not a factor in this accident, say police.
