TROWBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A southwestern Michigan man who lost his U.S. Marine son in a car crash now is seeking return of a stolen camera that contains precious memories of the Afghan war veteran.
Twenty-two-year-old Gregory Courtney died in a car crash in Allegan County on Sept. 16, 2011, about a month after returning home from Afghanistan.
This month, someone stole a digital camera containing pictures Courtney, a Sony camcorder, videos of him and a Marine sign from the home of Courtney's father.
Joe Courtney lives in Trowbridge Township, south of Allegan. He says some antiques were also taken in the Nov. 15 burglary, but he's only concerned about getting the camera and video tapes back.
Courtney tells Mlive.com (http://bit.ly/XRWcm3 ) he hopes anyone with information about the items will call him at 269-352-3427.
