MARSHALL COUNTY – A man considered dangerous and possibly armed remains on the run today.

Marshall County police and State Police spent hours Tuesday looking for 42-year old William Newman.

He's wanted on drug-related charges.

When police tried to arrest him on a warrant, he ran off.

Officers looked in a wooded area and fields near Tyner, northwest of Plymouth.

They called off their manhunt after several hours.

Police think Newman may be armed because they found a bag filled with ammunition.
