GREENFIELD, Ind. (AP) — A lawyer for a 60-year-old youth pastor arrested on charges he molested a teenage girl says he believes his client will be cleared.

Steve Harding of New Palestine was released on bond Thursday from Hancock County Jail in Greenfield following his arrest on felony charges of child molestation and sexual misconduct with a minor.

The former Southern Hancock School Board member is accused of engaging in sexual activity with the daughter of a family friend during an overnight stay at his home when she was 13 and again at the New Palestine United Methodist Church when she was 14.

Harding denied the allegations.

His attorney, D.J. Davis, told The Indianapolis Star (http://indy.st/QYlMBS ) Harding looks forward to the truth coming out.

New Palestine is about 15 miles east of Indianapolis.
