SOUTH BEND — The St. Joseph County Republican Party has voted for a replacement for District C County Council member Dale DeVon, who was elected last week to the State House of Representatives.
The caucus took place at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Gridiron Communications, 12650 Adams Road, Granger when it was decided James O'Brien will serve on the new council.
O'Brien was elected and sworn in. He's a local attorney who has been involved in the GOP for some time.
O'Brien will finish the remaining two years of DeVon's term.
