SOUTH BEND — A 42-year-old South Bend woman told police that a gunman entered her home Thursday night and robbed her.

The woman told police that she was at her home on North Timber Lane with her husband and son, when her husband left and her son went upstairs.

At about 10:30 p.m., a man broke into the home, pointed a gun and asked the woman where the money was and told her to keep her head down, according to a police report.

The mother reportedly screamed. The young boy went downstairs to see what was going on and the suspect made him lay on the floor, police said.

The suspect reportedly stole a TV, video game console, compact discs and a video game from the residence.

Police said the woman was a victim of a burglary at the same home on July 29.
