Officers were called when Ted Williams and his daughter got into a heated argument last night at a Hollywood hotel. They say the two were held at the police station for less than an hour while they calmed down, and were not arrested.
Williams had taped a two-part episode of the "Dr. Phil" show over the weekend. It's airing today and tomorrow. Producers say that on the second segment, he meets with his ex-wife and five of his nine children -- and talks about "what his children can expect from him in the future."
Williams' manager isn't providing details of last night's incident, but says a statement will be issued once the facts are in.
Williams gained instant fame after a newspaper posted a web video last week. Viewers heard a deep, honeyed professional voice coming from the shabbily dressed man.
Since then, he has done a TV commercial for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and appeared on various news shows.
