UNIONVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Santa Claus is missing.

An Indiana man is offering a $400 reward for information leading to the recovery of a 16-foot-tall Santa and a pair of penguins from his front yard, and the arrest of those responsible for the holiday heist.

Jason McClaren of Unionville told The Herald-Times of Bloomington (http://bit.ly/vSCK0Y ) that the inflatable Christmas decorations were taken from his yard sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. Wednesday.

McClaren says he spent days hanging hundreds of lights and erecting a cast of characters that also includes Snoopy, Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh.

He says it took him two days and eight ties to get the Santa centerpiece tied down about 10 feet from his front porch because the wind kept trying to blow it over.
