INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis metro police say a crime spree linked to two teenagers includes the slaying of a south side man and the shooting of a second man.

Deputy Chief Gregg Bieberich told a news conference Thursday the teens are charged only with the robbery of a woman in her open garage Wednesday morning, about half an hour before 38-year-old John Yingling was shot dead in the cab of his truck.

WISH-TV reports (http://bit.ly/X8yvlO) the two also are linked to an attempted robbery of a 62-year-old man about the same time and the wounding of a man walking his dog on the city's northwest side later that morning. Finally, a chase began about 11:15 a.m. that ended in a four-vehicle crash in nearby Brownsburg.

Bieberich says the two both have previous arrests.
