SOUTH BEND – Concerns over falling concrete on the Michigan Street bridge last night appears to be unfounded.
You might remember INDOT placed restrictions on the bridge when it reopened back in September.
Earlier this year they found what they called cracks in the railing and other parts of the bridge.
But an INDOT spokesperson says on Tuesday night someone said they found a piece of concrete that fell from the bridge.
An inspection Tuesday night did not find any new problems, but INDOT sent a crew out to check the bridge again this morning.
Again, at this point they say they do not see any new problems from when the bridge reopened in September.
There are still weight restrictions on the bridge for trucks.
