Fanatics.com, a retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, says Notre Dame merchandise sales more than doubled over the weekend after their win against Michigan State.

With their 3 and 0 start, the Notre Dame bookstore says a winning team translates to better sales.

“Customers are coming in excited. Fans who have been fans forever are excited," said Keith Kirkpatrick with Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore.

On any given gamed ay, the bookstore has 130 registers around campus. They've also opened a bookstore on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.

These strong sales are obviously in support of a team that may have to fight extra hard tonight when they take on Michigan. Number 11 Notre Dame has lost the last three matchups against the 18th-ranked Wolverines. The game will be played under the lights with kick-off at 7:30.
