Long time Goshen company, Lippert Components plans to invest nearly 9-million dollars and bring in 180 new jobs. The company wants to start an aluminum extrusion operation in the former Monaco facility on Elkhart's south side.
A 34-million dollar expansion at Benteler Automotive in Goshen is up for grabs. The company is also considering a location in Alabama. 130 new jobs are at stake. The company hopes to make a decision in a few weeks.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has offered Lippert Components and Spartan Motors hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax credits and training grants. Elkhart County is considering additional property tax abatement for all 3 companies.
